Day 5

Starts With an Earthquake- Day 5

After a night of strong winds, heavy rain and thunder, we woke up to somewhat clear skies. Just in time for Jackson's first surf lesson. We were just about to eat breakfast when the house started to shake and the pool's surface developed waves! Our first earthquake here on the coast. It wasn't too strong, this weather is keeping us on our toes.

We were about half way to Playa Guiones (or Playa Goonies and the local gringos call it) when we realized we left the bag with swimsuits, cameras, etc. for the beach day. It is not an easy drive back, so no pictures from today.

Jackson caught so many waves this morning, it was so fun to watch! He is going again tomorrow so hopefully we can get some pictures. It is super stormy here, so the waves are huge and choppy. He is so tired tonight!

For lunch we tried to find a place to watch some soccer games. No one has cable (or TVs for that matter) here on this coast, so it was kind of challenging.

Right on time, it started to rain this afternoon. We got some good footage of the road that turns into a river when it rains. We are getting good use of the 4x4 we rented.
