A friendlier Tico dog
Typical morning breakfast
We started this 1500 piece puzzle at the beginning of the trip. I wasn't sure if we would finish.
Abuelo and Nana helped and minus 4 pieces, we finished the whole thing!
Playa Garza sunset...no filter.
Nana and Gracie
A really long iguana eating our star fruit
The beach at Hotel Punta Islita
Beautiful carving from two pieces of a Guanacaste Tree at our hotel
Thank goodness for Marriott points!!
Our own private view, hammock and mini pool
Fresh ginger mule...loved it!
Adult only pool...perfection.
He started off outside on the window
Somehow the next night he was inside on the floor in the hallway
This guy gave us big scare. He was huge, ugly and screamed
at us when we tried to get him outside with the broom. First bug to put
up a fight and give us a piece of his mind. He was back the next morning to haunt us all.
Our hair is driving us crazy...she let me cut hers.
Gourd tree.
Sushi boy is happy, luckily there is sushi place next to his camp.
The trail near the kids camp and North Guiones Beach
Art time during a major downpour
These will be fruit baskets soon.
Thanks to my parents, we were able to get away for one night without kids!
Just what we needed after 6.5 weeks of 24/7 togetherness with them.
Punta Islita surf attempt
Black sand beach at Punta Islita
ARA Project next to our hotel, 30 Macaws living nearby.
Mango grove...so many on the ground. The fermentation smell was overwhelming!
I'm in love with these trees. I want one in my backyard.
Picked these  from our hotel - Punta Islita
Star fruit- slighly sour, between a grape, apple and asian pear.
Star fruit cocktail
Our attempt to see the Sea Turtle Arribada. NO LUCK!
We loved seeing all the millions of stars out that night though.
Spending lots of nights down at the beach. It is interesting how
each night has just a slightly different color to it. This night was very purple and dark.
Notice how the next set of pictures,
taken at the same time and the same location,
the next day are so different.
Met up with our friends.
